2017 celebrated the commencement of Djelk’s Ranger Internship Program. This program provides opportunities for senior Learning On Country (LOC) students to transition from school on an employment pathway into the Djelk Ranger workforce.
Djelk currently has 7 student interns, all of whom have worked very hard over the last 2 years to successfully complete their Cert II in Conservation and Land Management (CLM) and begin their ranger work with a solid foundation of skills and knowledge.
We are now in week 5 of the program and the Interns have been doing a fantastic job supporting Djelk’s land and sea management activities.
Congratulations to the Interns for such a significant achievement and to the Djelk rangers for their hard work and support mentoring the next generation of rangers.
